A WORLD HERITAGE SITE TAJ MOHAL

                                    WONDERFUL
                      Taj Mahal, Agra, India
An immense catacomb of white marble, congenital in Agra amid 1631 and 1648 by adjustment of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in mamory of his favourite wife, the Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage.it is located  on the bank of River Yamuna, which otherwise serves as a wide moat defending the Great Red Fort of Agra in india.

Taj Mahal was constructed over a period of twenty-two years, employing twenty thousand workers. It was completed in 1648 C.E. at a cost of 32 Million Rupees. The construction documents show that its master architect was Ustad ‘Isa, the renowned Islamic architect of his time. The documents contain names of those employed and the inventory of construction materials and their origin. Expert craftsmen from Delhi, Qannauj, Lahore, and Multan were employed. In addition, many renowned Muslim craftsmen from Baghdad, Shiraz and Bukhara worked on many specialized tasks.

The arch is fabricated of white marble, but the tomb is set adjoin the apparent beyond the river and it is this accomplishments that works its abracadabra of colours that, through their reflection, change the appearance of the Taj. The colours change at altered hours of the day and during altered seasons. Like a jewel, the Taj sparkles in annex if the semi-precious stones inlaid into the white marble on the capital catacomb bolt the afterglow of the moon. The Taj is pinkish in the morning, alabaster white in the black and aureate if the moon shines. These changes, they say, characterize the altered moods of woman.

The postcard picture of Taj Mahal does not adequately convey the legend, the poetry and the romance that shroud what Rabindranath Tagore calls "a teardrop on the cheek of time". Taj Mahal means "Crown Palace" and is in fact the most well preserved and architecturally beautiful tomb in the world. It is best described by the English poet, Sir Edwin Arnold, as "Not a piece of architecture, as other buildings are, but the proud passions of an emperor’s love wrought in living stones." It is a celebration of woman built in marble and that’s the way to appreciate it.
